Help / A useful way forward

When something goes wrong

Find a safe next step for a file, download, or worksheet problem.

The file is rejected

Read the reason. Choose the original editable JSON from the tool, not a PDF or renamed document. Empty, damaged, unsupported-version, or oversized files cannot be safely restored. Keep the original and try another copy.

The file is valid, but the work looks old

Check the entered review date and the actual records. Look for later downloads or another device’s copy. The checker cannot tell whether this is the latest business information.

I have work open already

Cancel the replacement prompt, download the current editable work, and then reopen the other file. The two copies are not automatically merged.

A dialog is in the way

Finish the entry or cancel that dialog first. Canceling a form can discard the unkept form entry; keep it in the tool if needed, then download the book.

A form will not continue

Follow the message beside the field or at the form’s start. Check required fields and valid dates or amounts. Gray example text is a hint, not entered data.

A number or status seems wrong

Check the review date, currency, included records, filters, entered assumptions, and excluded or canceled entries. A status reflects the entered records; it is not a live bank or customer confirmation.

I only have a PDF or text copy

Keep it as a reference. Look for the separate JSON download. This build cannot reliably recreate all fields, relationships, and history from a reading copy.

I cannot find the download

Check browser Downloads, any save dialog, blocked downloads, and your chosen folder. If the page is still open, try the download again before refreshing.

My unsaved tab closed

Look for a previous editable download and reopen it. If there is none, keep any reading copies for re-entry. Work that was only in the closed tab cannot be recovered here.

The page is not responding

Allow a large file check to finish, or cancel the check. Keep any work you can download before reloading. A refresh can discard work that exists only in the tab.

I need to repeat or correct work

Use the tool’s own new run, correction, exclusion, or fresh-copy action as appropriate. Reopening a file continues its existing states; it does not automatically reset every record.

Make a clear issue summary

If you want help investigating, describe the action and what happened. This makes a copyable summary for you to review and share yourself; it does not send a support request.

Keep your open draft?

Continuing will discard your unsaved changes. You can return to the draft and save or download it first.
