What is actually available to sell?
Separate usable stock from what is damaged, reserved or still on its way. Keep sizes, variants and locations clear enough to count what you really have.
Start with a product and a location. The stock book follows quantities and commitments; it does not connect to your shop or automatically forecast demand.
Bring the need, supplier offer, quantity and delivery terms together. A minimum order or lower unit price still needs to fit what you can hold and expect to sell.
Follow an order through partial deliveries, acceptance and unresolved items. Recording the purchase and recording its payment are separate steps.
Put supplier payments beside the dates you expect sales receipts to become available. Allow for payment delays, returns and the other bills falling due.
Use the next eight weeks and compare a timing change. The cash outlook uses your dates and amounts; it does not predict sales or replace actual payment records.
Choose one item or order. Include its purchase or making cost, packaging, your time and selling fees, then compare what changes at another price.
Keep the sale unit consistent. Allocate order-level shipping or payment fees before entering them, and record assumptions about returns or discounts rather than counting them twice.
Watch at your own pace or explore a program with group support. These outside offerings have their own access terms, separate from the free tools above.

Understand the inventory–cash relationship
The Retail Owners Institute’s financial webinars cover retail buying budgets, stock turnover, cash flow and margins.
The full recording collection requires member access. It is self-paced learning; check current membership terms with the provider.
Packaged food brings preparation decisions as well as stock. A salon may sell products alongside appointments. Use the family that fits the question you have now.
The existing stock, purchasing, cash and pricing tools were checked against these decisions. They remain the same canonical resources throughout Brass Charter. Opening a link does not transfer entries between them.
The outside offerings fill a gap in retail-specific learning: recordings from The Retail Owners Institute, and a program with group support from RETAILMavens. Both were checked against official provider pages on 5 October 2026. Their offering records distinguish participation and access conditions.
