Using Equipment & Maintenance Planner

How to start, keep, reopen, and use your Equipment & Maintenance Planner work.

Keep essential equipment available, cared for and ready for the work depending on it.

Open Equipment & Maintenance Planner

Start with the work in front of you

  1. Start with one equipment item and record its condition after checking it. Add kits, work reservations and actual handovers when useful.
  2. Use equipment-specific sources for care plans. Record readings, faults, service work and actual returns. Repairs and return-to-use checks remain separate.
  3. Download the editable JSON to keep the full book. Preview PDFs before sharing; CSV exports are separate table copies.

Keep it and pick it up again

The equipment JSON keeps equipment, kits, reservations, custody, care, readings, service records, costs, references and change history.

  1. Check your browser’s Downloads for the actual file. Keep the .json extension; a meaningful name and date can help you recognize the copy.
  2. Choose Open saved work below, select that file, and check the tool and summary shown.
  3. Continue in the tool. If there is already work open there, review the replacement prompt. Cancel to keep editing or download the current work before replacing it.

What to keep in view

Saved sources are reviewed copies. Equipment owns its care schedule. Dated actions, draft routines, purchasing requirements and backup dependencies need review in their destination tools. Owner Overview can read a saved equipment book.

If it does not look right

If the file will not open, leave the original unchanged and read the error. A reading copy cannot substitute for the editable JSON. If you reopened an older copy, look for a later download; do not overwrite the current work while checking.

Keep your open draft?

Continuing will discard your unsaved changes. You can return to the draft and save or download it first.
