Using Customer Follow-up Planner

How to start, keep, reopen, and use your Customer Follow-up Planner work.

Keep customer commitments, waiting responses, and next actions visible.

Open Customer Follow-up Planner

Start with the work in front of you

  1. Add the customer or reference, subject, next action, and a due date when known.
  2. Use waiting status when appropriate and keep the follow-up action clear. Record an update rather than silently rewriting the history.
  3. Review overdue, upcoming, waiting, and undated items. Download reusable copy after changes.

Keep it and pick it up again

The editable plan keeps the items and recorded updates. Reopening continues that plan.

  1. Check your browser’s Downloads for the actual file. Keep the .json extension; a meaningful name and date can help you recognize the copy.
  2. Choose Open saved work below, select that file, and check the tool and summary shown.
  3. Continue in the tool. If there is already work open there, review the replacement prompt. Cancel to keep editing or download the current work before replacing it.

What to keep in view

Dates do not trigger messages or notifications. Customer Opportunities can review selected follow-ups for import, while Owner Overview can review a copy as a source.

If it does not look right

If the file will not open, leave the original unchanged and read the error. A reading copy cannot substitute for the editable JSON. If you reopened an older copy, look for a later download; do not overwrite the current work while checking.

Keep your open draft?

Continuing will discard your unsaved changes. You can return to the draft and save or download it first.
